OK, call me old fashioned and out of date, but when I was a high school graduate (way back in the dark ages), the punishment for pulling the prank at Snohomish High School would have been severe – and from my parents.
They would have kept me from the graduation ceremonies and the party afterward. They would never have tried to appeal the superintendent’s decision and would have been thoroughly embarrassed by the whole affair. How do you expect your children to become responsible adults if you won’t allow them to suffer the consequences of their actions?
Grow up, parents, so your kids can too. Senior pranks are not part of the curriculum.
