I cannot imagine why cable companies should not offer a la carte programming to those who would benefit from it. Some of us watch very little TV, and only care to view the content of three or four different channels. If price is the primary consideration in this debate, as it appears to be in the FCC report of Nov. 19, then any number of options can make a difference for a very diverse group of consumers. A la carte programming should certainly be one option. Why would you support trimming costs only for the high-end consumer?
