Three cheers for our men and women in blue, keeping our streets safe again by busting those who patronize prostitutes (Thursday news article, “Johns stung”). What a complete waste of time.
How in the world is this something that people should be arrested for? If a woman wants to trade sex for money, that is her business and no one else’s. It is a victimless crime, and police could be doing something way more productive.
How is prostitution a crime anyway? I love watching the ones on “Cops” where the cop, posing as a hooker, goes up and actually approaches the man and then arrests him for falling for it. That seems totally wrong, like a cop selling someone drugs and then busting them for buying them. Remember John DeLorean?
Leave these women alone. At least they are not out stealing. They are selling what is theirs to sell.
If we have freedom of choice to have abortions, then women should have freedom of choice when it comes to whether they sell their bodies for sex. If a man is that stupid to have sex with someone as dirty and crazy looking as some of these women appear to be – more power to him. Free up the cops to be doing something like arresting real criminals.
