I have a question for the Republicans who think that sharing the wealth is a bad thing.
When Bill Gates started Microsoft, he offered stock shares as part of the compensation package because he didn’t have much money. As a result, there are Microsoft millionaires and billionaires all over the Puget Sound area. He has continued the practice, and Microsoft is still considered one of the best employers for people in the tech field anywhere in the world.
Can anyone explain to me exactly why it would be evil for other employers to reward their people in a similar fashion? Can you explain why you would be offended to be treated as Microsoft employees are treated? Would you rather keep working away day after day for the same low wage while the people who are at the top of the corporation keep getting richer and richer?
I would really like an answer.
