Cost of living hikes sound just great

I just read in The Herald where our county executive, Bob Drewel, will receive a $8,600 increase in pay, part of which is a cost of living increase. I wholeheartedly approve, as I just got my cost of living increase. There was $31 in July as a one-time payment and then a huge increase of $1 per month. Bob, we are doing great. Aren’t cost of living increases wonderful?
