A serious travesty of judgement has denied the county of insightful and concerned citizen participation in the business of the county. (June 13 article “County council rejects parks board nominee”). I’m speaking of Therese Quinn, one very qualified person that should be on the board. We have known all along that the community would be denied certain citizen input with this council throughout their tenure, but this vindictive move exemplifies our worst fears.
People had better awaken to the reality that is our council and speak out whenever possible – most won’t listen, but maybe we will catch one of them doing something right.
