Regarding the Dec. 13 article, “Reardon loses battle on budget”:
In the spirit of doing what is right and best for the people of Snohomish County, I give the current Snohomish County Council my utmost respect and admiration with special mention to Councilman John Koster. He has always been a gentleman armed with self-assured confidence carefully vested on fairness and vast experiences dealing with people who are old and new in the field of politics.
As for Mr. Reardon, truthfully, I hope the overwhelming votes he gathered during this past election will not add to his cup, which has already runneth over. As a Democrat, we did not have a choice to vote for another Democrat. Also as a Democrat swing voter, there was no other. And as a Democrat, we have to keep the executive’s seat, just one of those things in “politics.” That is why it is a messy business and some voters have plum given up.
Reardon is on top of the county’s organizational chart and it is time to trade the horse he is riding on for a chance to get off from it.
