Councilman Gipson has the guts to say no

Hooray for Ron Gipson: It is refreshing to see a council member voting his convictions – when the others just band together to not make waves.

Have you ever wondered why we vote in all the Democrats and all the Republicans to state and local office in Olympia and Congress and then when one party get one more as a majority they always win whatever issue is before them. It is due to them running in a pack afraid of reprisals if they don’t go along with the party. Why then don’t we save a ton of money and just vote in one Republican and one Democrat, and let them fight it out?

Councilman Gipson should be commended for having the guts to vote the way the people elected him to do. He will probably get another vote, as for sure the arena will go way over budget again and again. Hold onto your wallets.
