Having a wide range of housing choices is critical in an area like ours. As we continue to grow and home prices continue to rise, working families shouldn’t be forced to move farther and farther away from their jobs in order to find a home they can afford. The Snohomish County Council is considering changes to its Planned Residential Development (PRD) ordinance that, if adopted, will make it more workable and help provide more affordable housing choices.
We encourage the council to pass these much-needed amendments. Working families deserve decent, affordable housing that PRDs provide.
