There been several letters to the editor in recent weeks encouraging voters to re-elect Nate Nehring to the County Council, District 1. Beware! Nate Nehring is a Republican.
He is supported by Republicans in our state House and Senate. He is supported by the Republican Party. I believe that Nate Nehring has political aspirations that go far beyond serving on the Snohomish County Council. One of the primary responsibilities of voters in today’s political climate should be to refuse to elect Republicans to any level of government; and that includes the County Council.
I urge you to elect Nicole Ng-A-Qui, a Democrat, who is a well-qualified candidate. You can read about her education and work in natural resource management in your local voters pamphlet.
