One can certainly appreciate that Snohomish County has a divided government that works well for our citizens. We have a County Council made up of three Democrats and two Republicans. Our Democratic county executive realized excellence when he hired a Republican County Council member for his executive staff.
Soon we will receive our ballots for the November election. It appears to me that Sam Low is the most qualified candidate in Council District 5 and should be re-elected.
Sam has continued to serve his constituents and other county residents in a nonpartisan manner than benefits all of us. And he has worked with Executive Somers and the majority part on the council to the benefit of the county.
Sam was instrumental in working to refit the current courthouse rather than build a new one. This saved the county taxpayers $100 million to $150 million. Sam Has also been a strong voice in working with legislators on traffic issues affecting his constituents.
And when one considers the very rural nature of Council District 5 we are so very lucky that Sam Low works on myriad issues that benefit his district as well as a great number of citizens in the county.
