On this beautiful sunny day, I took the time to review our voter’s booklet and learn about the large field of great candidates running for Snohomish County Council, District 2. While I know a couple of the “pack” fairly well and got to know of a couple of them while they were canvassing my neighborhood, I wish to tell you why I support Megan Dunn.
I met Megan about 10 years ago, as we both served on the Everett Council of Neighborhoods. We have remained friends and colleagues over the years and I have watched this woman interact with citizens on many levels and in various capacities. Her tenacious fights and causes have always been to benefit the public. If it wasn’t for pesticide-free parks or dstricting for fair and equitable governance in the City of Everett it was for investigating land use issues as a planning commissioner or chairing the Lowell Civic Organization to promote neighborhood safety and community events; or taking on an appointment to be on a task force for safe streets; or supporting sensible historic preservation that could eventually lead to economic growth. Megan is a natural leader and natural public servant whose actions speak louder than her words.
