I am so disappointed in our county council. Why won’t members find a solution to help our kids play ball? The only answer they say will work is to change the state law in Olympia. They refuse to find a solution outside of that avenue. This is a community concern that involves all of us – parents, school administrators, teachers, developers, real estate agents, farmers and planners. We need ballfields built alongside all the hundreds of homes. We need ballfields on our school grounds. We need to work together to provide for our kids. Councilmembers and others say it takes too much money to buy the land needed in our urban and rural areas that are not protected farmland. Come on. Let’s find the money. Aren’t our kids worth it?
