I’ve followed the proposed KRKO antenna project since the beginning. Frankly, I’m disgusted with Snohomish County. Projects that have environmental impacts usually have exhaust, traffic impacts, noise, runoff, glare or hard surface issues. The proposed KRKO project doesn’t have any of this. Anyone who has seen the KWYZ-AM site on Homeacres Road (or the current KRKO site for that matter) knows there’s never anyone out there, and no dead birds either. However, the county has abused KRKO by making them do more work and go through more hoops than any construction project I’ve ever seen, all because a small group of people complain it’s too close to where they live. I’m tired of protestors bringing our government to a complete halt. If the protesters don’t want development, they should change the county codes. Until then, it’s time to let KRKO build its antenna.
