Perhaps Seattle, in all of their coddling of those determined to live “alternative” lifestyles, has landed on something brilliant. So now they want to have a nice, “safe” place for people to shoot heroin, do they? Wonderful! Just think of the new jobs this will create. First there must be a building, so someone will be paid some rent. Then there are monitors and administrators and medical people. And finally are the parking attendants and janitors. Lots of opportunities here.
So, Everett, we can get ahead of the game. We can create safe places for those who want to burn things, a playground for arsonists. Then we can set up some retail space for kleptomaniacs and burglars to steal safely. Just think of the jobs we’d create! Next would be some large spaces, both indoors and out, for graffiti artists to hone their craft. And let’s not forget the drag racers — surely we can proved a “safe” environment for them to carry on their illegal activities. Maybe prostitutes and their johns would demand their “safe” spaces as well. Why there will be no end to the opportunities we could proved for illegal activities to be carried out in nice, safe environments.
Does this make sense? To anyone? Gee, I wonder why not?
