Current crop much too divisive

I couldn’t help but chuckle when I read the Jan. 28 letter, “Only Clinton can tackle big issues.” The writer indicates that Hillary’s eight years as a resident in the White House somehow qualifies her to lead the most powerful nation on the face of the earth. I may be idealistic, but I think a person running for president should have more on their resume than just living in the White House for eight years. As for her tenure in Congress, well, let’s just say her voting record speaks for itself.

Rather than constantly lambasting the current administration every time they debate, I would like a candidate to factually point out what they have done to help our country. Express to me a realistic proposal of how they are going to address important issues.

Our next president must be able to unite people. I have seen nothing but dissent and division from the current Democratic candidates. If they are the best the party has to offer, it’s too bad Chelsea Clinton isn’t at least 35 so she could get the nomination. After all, she was in the White House for eight years as well.
