Current taxes aren’t used wisely

I’m sitting in the kitchen and reading the Snohomish County Voters Pamphlet. As I read the Arlington Transportation Benefit tax increase statement page 18, I am reminded of an article in the Arlington newspaper a week or two ago. A city spokesperson was talking of the changes to 67th Avenue and stated “67th is going to have all the bells and whistles” when it is finished (artwork included).

I believe this is a blatant abuse of city road funds and extremely nearsighted planning with our money. Bells and whistles should be used for the “failing condition of the roads” I read about in the pamphlet, and see every day. I will vote no on new taxes. Use our hard earned present taxes more efficiently and wisely!
