Take note, people. The Republican-dominated House has just passed a budget that will institute significant cuts across an array of programs for the poor, students and farmers. This is necessary, you see, because they and the Bush administration turned a trillion dollar surplus into a frightening trillion dollar deficit because it was necessary to give huge tax cuts to the rich and welfare to big drug and oil companies. Why doesn’t this surprise me?
It is time the everyday Republican began to see the leadership for what it is: powerful big wigs who are padding the pockets of big corporations and the rich by stealing from the poor. They don’t give a hoot about us little people, which is why they are cutting programs meant for us. Where is Robin Hood when we need him?
