The transit system that Washington has built is very good. You can take ferries, buses and trains all over Washington and beyond. The only problem seems to be is that when budgets come up short people don’t vote yes to tax increases. The routes and services that are cut usually affect the people who can least afford to pay the fares, and depend on the transportation the most for their ability to meet their basic needs. It seems that is a problem with lots of entities in our financial system … that’s a lot of problems to think about.
