I am very concerned about the governor’s proposal to cut 60,000 people from the basic health plan coverage.
My mother is a diabetic, she is 60 years old, too young to get Social Security and physically unable to hold down a job. She is a woman who has worked physically demanding jobs all of her life in order to make ends meet and raise two children on her own, she has no income and has to rely on me and my husband for the things she needs. Without this coverage she won’t be able to pay for the medicine she needs in order to live a quality life. Without her medicine, she could die.
I don’t even want to think of the other 59,999 people this proposal will impact. Please, Governor, isn’t there another way?
Marysville.
