Defund Planned Parenthood

Gov. Gregoire and her team have launched Transforming Washington’s Budget, a statewide program focusing on fiscal responsibility, efficiency and performance, to help close a $3 billion hole in the 2011-2013 budget. A public meeting was held Wednesday at Everett Community College.

Transforming Washington’s Budget contains six core Washington values, one of which, Value No. 2, was designed to “Improve the Health of Washingtonians.”

My suggestion: Defund Planned Parenthood. Abortion is Planned Parenthood’s largest source of revenue, and as the state’s largest subcontractor for Take Charge, Planned Parenthood has seen its profits skyrocket.

Abortion is not health care. Rather, abortion is the direct and intentional killing of a living, human, unborn child, who at between 10-12 weeks gestation has arms, legs, fingers, toes, heartbeat, lungs and sex organs.

Protect Washingtonian’s health, save millions, and defund Planned Parenthood.
