The letter, “Wrong priorities have led us here,” is a rant full of misconceptions in order to make conservatives look bad. It cannot left as is without reply.
Flint, Michigan, was entirely a Democratic failure. The mayor and every council member are Democratic, all of whom made decisions to switch funding from what worked to a system that failed. But let’s blame everyone else besides the city leaders, how they managed their money and made decisions funding everything besides safe water.
Regarding the ability to have corporations be treated as individuals who are permitted to fund political entities, just as the unions do the same: The difference is not equal. A corporation and its board decides to make the donations and face the actions of their stock owners. Alternatively, union leadership does not consult their members prior to funding their political picks whether their membership likes it or not.
When it comes to laws requiring an officially government provided identification card to vote, for us common-sense citizens, this is an official Homer Simpson “D’oh” situation. For just about everything besides voting you need of proof of who you are, to fly, to cash a check, to check into a hotel and to get your EBT card.
If ever you need to understand why the Democrats push this issue, consider that Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe granted the right for felons to regain their voting rights. Democrats need votes regardless of where they come from, felons, illegal aliens, homeless and the latest from California, dead people.
Growing up it was drilled into me that a felony on your record has some serious deleterious effects on the rest of your life, thus to deter the crime.
I have heard over and over again to succeed, learn from successful individuals and to mirror their actions and beliefs. I seriously believe we are at a crossroads for the United States. Every voter now has to pick a side, those who have traditional beliefs of right and wrong and working for what you get or those who want felons to join their party, to get as much as they can take from others and those who want to vote without identifying themselves.
