The Nov. 10 Herald article about campaign sign theft was of great interest to me (“Campaign signs just the ticket for theft charge”). I have over 600-feet of frontage on our street and put up signs for Democratic candidates. I lost at least ten signs that were all taken after dark. The Gore-Lieberman signs and those for Maria Cantwell all disappeared almost as fast as they were put up. We have lots of Republican signs on our street and not one was touched.
If the people that tear down signs would do as good of a job taking signs down after the election, we would all be better off.
