We need Jean Berkey to serve in Olympia. She deserves to be re-elected as our state representative in the 38th District. She is our neighbor, someone who truly cares about our quality of life, being a leader on so many important issues we care about. To mention a few, ensuring economic vitality, preserving our environment, education and housing opportunity. The transportation issue is a real challenge, which is very important to her. Her top priority on returning to Olympia will be to work on a bipartisan plan to create better public options. We know she will be a voice for seniors, having proven this by her work locally with the Everett Senior Center Advisory Board both as chair and treasurer. She is secretary of the Everett Medic One Foundation and supported adding an additional unit to cut the 911 response time.
Jean believes women should have the freedom to make their own personal choices on reproductive rights. Every woman deserves this. In reality, women are intelligent to make this choice. It is truly their own business. Her opponent is out of sync on this social issue.
