I had to laugh at the Thursday letter wanting more NHL coverage. I also have a beef with the sports section. During football season, especially Friday’s edition in The Herald will often eliminate Saturday’s TV sports guide. I guess because there are lots of games scheduled. I already voiced this with The Herald but it continues. There are ways to deal with this, smaller print for the TV selection.
Even last New Year’s Day games, the same games were published two days in a row, and of all days, “New Year’s Day games.”
Thursday’s paper sports section TV Schedule: lists NHL Hockey payoff game:
6:30 p.m. Chicago at Montreal
While Chicago is playing Minnesota, not Montreal in the playoffs.
Others shortcuts are in the Food Section, especially the Jan Roberts-Dominguez column. Entire recipes are eliminated, so it not a complete article done to make space.
