Rand Paul, a Republican candidate for president, was taking credit. “Yesterday, I forced the expiration of the NSA’s illegal spying program. Contribute $5 now to show your support,” he tweeted.
Better pony up that $5; Paul knows who to contact to see if you called in your pledge.
