I was totally appalled after reading the article in The Herald and attending the public forums where Marysville mayoral candidate NormaJean Dierck stated that although she was on state disability, she was perfectly capable of holding down the mayoral position.
This is a full-time position, with a large salary. Why, if she is capable of working this position, would she still qualify for state disability? If she could hold that position, she certainly must qualify for other employment, too.
Come on, taxpayers. Let’s get some answers to this one. Why should we continue to pay her way through life?
