It appears to me after reading her commentary “U.S. divorce rate suggests marriage is the real problem,” June 20) that Jennifer Just couldn’t have had a good marriage. She is more concerned about her own personal satisfaction and should go back to what is more important to her.
She does not believe the divorce epidemic is a crisis of morality, a symptom of decay of American civilization.
All she has to do is go to the movies or watch TV to see what is happening to morality. She says she cannot live up to the impossibly high standards that this country has set for marriage. I beg to differ with her. Those trying to tear down the sanctity of marriage are causing the trouble. I wish her well in her future experiences.
