For all those people who continue to argue that unfettered access to military-style firearms somehow has a connection to the hundreds of mass shootings regularly carried out with those firearms, allow me to reference a better approach recommended by so many Second Amendment patriots.
Instead of trying to restrict access to assault rifles, all we need to do is post SWAT-trained law enforcement personnel equipped with body armor and tactical weapons at the one and only entrance to every elementary school, middle school, high school, community college and university in the nation — including every building on the latter three campuses — along with similarly armed officers on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week at every supermarket, shopping mall, movie theater, office building, factory, nightclub, restaurant, medical office, church, synagogue, post office, library, hospital, FedEx and UPS building, military recruiting center, massage parlor, bowling alley, block party, protest march and outdoor concert.
Now, doesn’t that make more sense than keeping assault weapons away from mass murderers?
