When I heard the sighting of an armed man had caused the campus at Western Washington University in Bellingham to be “locked down” and police were responding, I was concerned as my daughter attends school there. I called her immediately. I was relieved when she called me back and informed me it was quite literally a “knee-jerk” reaction as it turned out to be only a man carrying his prosthetic leg.
However, I am concerned anew. The right to keep and bear arms has long been under attack in this state, but how can anyone reasonably object to our right to keep and bear legs?
