Domestic drilling won’t help at home

Lost in the debate over offshore drilling is the fact that such drilling may or may not provide short- or long-term relief since whatever oil is extracted likely will be sold on the world market, likely to the highest bidder. Unless the government suspends the rules of free enterprise and ignores the marketplace, our domestic drilling will not provide oil for domestic use.
