More than 30,000 children and adults in Washington were screened for sight and hearing problems for free last year because of donations to our annual White Cane Days. Local Lions Clubs say thank you.
We have collected thousands of pairs of used eyeglasses and hearing aids that will help others see or hear. Lions say thank you for recycling.
Local Lions Clubs have raised money for guide dogs, for student scholarships and schools for the blind, for recreational activities like the local Lions Fishing Derby for the Blind and for other local community service projects. Thank you for your support.
This is Lions Sight and Hearing Month, a time for the local Lions Clubs to say “thank you” and show their appreciation. Without your support we cannot perform one of our main missions and that is to become “Knights of the blind and hearing impaired,” a title and a challenge bestowed upon us by Helen Keller.
If you would like more information about Lions Clubs International go to www.Lions19B.com or call Art Ruben at 425-514-5464.
Thanks again for your support.
