I am filled with gratitude. The kindness of individuals and organizations never ceases to amaze me. As coordinators of a “weekend backpack” program through the Granite Falls Community Coalition, we face a continual need for funds or food to help support our service (sending food home with kids over the weekend). The coalition set up a GoFundMe account and it raised over $2,800, then, incredibly, over $6,000 came in from private donations!
We also have repeated support on many levels from IGA in Granite Falls, and have received food that was collected by Windermere, Eastern Star and Rouge Beauty Salon this fall. As an added bonus, community members will routinely drop off food or donations to the program. Oh, how this village loves on its youngest members. Thank you! Thank you for your repeated support over the years.
Recently we have reached out to other organizations for support and have received a $50 gift card from Costco Warehouse Donation program, $25 per week in product from the Safeway in Lake Stevens, a $1,000 donation from the Everett Clinic Foundation, and a $1,000 donation from the William C. &Eleanor E. Butler Trust Fund (Greater Everett Community Foundation). We remain humbly grateful for everything that others choose to trust us with. Your commitment to us has insured sustainability for the program and will allow us to meet the needs for many young people in our district. Thank you all for your heartfelt contributions.
