I don’t usually respond to these little news flashes (“Veterans fees may go up,” Feb. 16) but I must respond to this one.
Isn’t it enough that our veterans have already served time defending what we believe in as well as protecting the rights of others?
Surely this country does not need to raise the veterans’ health-care fees once they leave the service. Congress can and must find another way to continue meeting these veterans costs!
The Seattle Veterans Hospital saved my husband from being placed in Sedro Woolley by his local doctor. My husband was much improved in three days and was able to come back to his family.
I’m sure Congress can come up with a way to meet these costs.
