Did Rodney King (“Can’t we all just get along?”) write the Wednesday editorial? You note that “Democrats in turn must resist the desire for payback …” First things first, please.
I speak for the many of us who view Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld as the Asses of Evil. I believe their only regret is that they were unable to take away, before the election, our right to vote.
While claiming to provide Iraq with democracy, they were busy taking away our constitutional rights to privacy, habeas corpus and a government based on checks and balances. They did all of that to destroy the middle class and fatten the profits of their corporate friends. Next election we can clean the rest of them out.
Many of us desire full investigations and impeachment. At a minimum we’ll accept the restoration of our country to what it was before the neo-cons set out to destroy it. Only then should we make that cooperative effort in addressing the many other issues that plague our great nation.
