Let’s put the missing “R” back in Feb-uary!
I’ll bet that 99 percent of the English-speaking people on this earth shortchange our second and shortest month of the year.
February is admittedly an awkward sounding and looking word, and it’s easy to ignore that first “r” and pounce on the “u”. None of the other 11 months are treated as thoughtlessly.
This reminds me of that famous American who can’t seem to say “nuclear” correctly. I wonder how he pronounces “February”?
