I am an outraged youth. I absolutely cannot fathom that people are considering awarding inmates with the right to vote!
Inmates are in prison to be secluded from the society that they harmed. Now they might get to help shape that society? You should not be allowed to vote in a society that you have no stake in!
This entire idea is a waste of time and taxpayers’ money. I will be eligible to vote next year, and it bothers me to no end that at some point my vote might be placed next to someone who may have murdered or sexually assaulted someone my age. It devalues the votes of the people who have lived and worked within the laws of this society. Restore my faith in the system, please!
