This country was founded on majority rule. There were those who wanted to stay loyal to England but lost out to majority rule.
When deciding what was to be used as the official language of our government, a vote was taken by the Continental Congress, and by one vote, English was chosen over German. Again the majority rule counts.
It is evident to anyone who studies United States history the beliefs this country was founded on. As a people, we have amended or added to our Constitution a number of times by majority rule. These additions are our Bill of Rights. Not everyone likes this process, but it works for the majority. If you can’t stand majority rule, you belong on an island – population: one.
