The Snohomish Fire District 4 is once again promoting the passing of a levy, asking for more money to operate. Their last levy, (two years ago), dealt with the replacement of two of their fire trucks. The levy was voted down. Did anyone notice a difference in the response time or priority?
Today, the district needs more revenue for emergency services, which include “supplies, vehicles, structures, personnel cost.” And their “response time” will take longer. Should this levy fail, will anyone notice a difference in their service? A high priority for any and all fire protection and EMS is the response time. You’re telling me, should the levy fail, this district would allow that to happen? If that is the cause and effect, time for new leadership. Response time is every thing, it “rules.”
Also, property values and assessed values are going back up, which will increase your needed (?) revenue. So just be patient, you’ll get your money without this levy and our property tax will be higher, without the levy passing.
