DOT signs on I-5 waste of money

Have you noticed the new signs on I-5 in the Everett area? “It’s your nickel, watch it work,” “Making every dollar count,” “Freeway expansion improves traffic.” What a bunch of shameless propaganda brought to you with your tax dollars.

They are putting up sound walls we do not want, cannot drive on and do not need. They are also adding an HOV lane we do not want and most of us cannot use. What a joke.

I, for one, am not fooled by those signs. They are there to make us think they are spending our money wisely and to discourage Initiative 912. If this is an example of how they are going to spend the 9.5 cent gas tax increase, please join me on Nov. 8 and vote yes on Initiative 912.
