Has anyone noticed that when Community Transit looks for more money it never considers raising the fares? Ask the people who ride the buses to pay more? Fat chance! Never going to happen. The secret goal of CT is social engineering. The ultimate goal of CT is to force all you working people to live in a city and ride its buses.
Anyone notice that the fares ($11.5 million) only cover about 10 percent of the annual budget ($111.8 million)? In other words, every time a bus rider pays $2 someone else – most likely a person who drives to work – is paying $18 to CT. Add to this all you are paying for the choo-choo trains that a couple thousand people will ride if the rides are ever offered.
Anyone notice that CT will (only) suck up $51.1 million in sales tax? Where will the other $72.2 million come from? From additional Snohomish County debt? From the federal income tax that you pay? At least half of you don’t care. You voted for every cent.
