I was and am appalled and outraged that the drunk driver who confessed to killing four innocent victims and ruining three families (the victims’ and his) on Nov. 29 gets to make a plea deal. (“Guilty plea in crash that killed 4 could bring 6 to 8 years in prison.”)
It is outrageous that these people who drive drunk (especially ones caught more than once) aren’t charged with first degree murder. They knowingly and intentionally get behind the wheel of a potentially deadly weapon and drive. We need the DUI laws changed now! I can only imagine the pain the victims’ families and friends will feel for the rest of their lives.
This plea deal and all the chances other DUI murderers get are like a slap in the face and a knife in the heart for those left behind.
