There is something I’d like Herald readers to know about the election for Snohomish County executive: I’m supporting Dave Earling.
Why is that important, you ask? Consider this, my endorsement makes me one of 11 mayors from all across Snohomish County endorsing Dave. They include the mayors of Arlington, Edmonds, Lake Stevens, Lynnwood, Marysville, Mill Creek, Mountlake Terrace, Mukilteo, Sultan, Woodway and, of course, Stanwood. We all have endorsed Dave because he’s the kind of leader who can unite people and form many different communities to take a fresh look at things and solve tough problems.
Our population has grown rapidly in recent years, and with Boeing’s layoffs our economy is changing, too. We need fresh leadership with successful experience in the private sector and in government service. Dave Earling is the only candidate who fits that description.
If you believe in fresh leadership to address the challenges facing Snohomish County, please join me in voting for Dave Earling for county executive.
