Economy cannot support them now

Regarding the Tuesday letter about Iraqi refugees, “Why do we keep bringing them?”: I wholeheartedly agree — our economy cannot employ all the people we have in America now, yet we’re bringing in more refugees from all over the world and supporting them with our already thinly stretched tax dollars.

This has to stop, or we will soon be in the same condition as the countries we are taking people in from. Make them stay home and straighten their own country out first and then if they still want to come here — when we have a healthier economy — they will be contributing to our country’s economy, rather than dragging it down by sucking off of our tax dollars.
