I found it somewhat amusing when I read the Thursday letter writer’s opinion concerning The Herald’s statement of “Patty Murray’s U.S. Senate seat” in Tuesday’s editorial.
Given the political climate of our country today, I can understand how some people will pick up on anything that will allow them to voice their frustrations. However, to start “nitpicking” over a statement, saying they are “incorrect and biased” because of certain wording is getting to be ridiculous!
While the editorial may have been better-worded by saying “the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Patty Murray,” I see no obvious bias by the author. But then again, reading the U.S. Constitution or religious theology (i.e. the word of God) and concluding there “incorrect and biased” statements with those writings also may cause the reader even more frustration.
