Some seven years ago I saw Joan Bloom (an Edmonds small business owner) attending Edmonds City Council meetings to listen, read issue documents, and learn. After weeks of gaining understanding of city business, she became active — speaking at public hearings, participating in city committees such a
s transportation, Group of 33, and the Tree Board. Joan Bloom demonstrates excellent knowledge of Edmonds’ comprehensive plan, critical area ordinance, zoning and code requirements. She has consistently supported financial efficiencies, environmental protections, development that preserves the living quality of our Edmonds.
Joan Bloom listens to all views and opinions. During controversial discussions or if disagreeing with someone, she remains focused on issues, never “puts others down,” and is always respectful and polite. Joan is committed to open, transparent government and access to information for all citizens.
And what a campaign she is conducting! It’s low cost — which befits local elections. Her recycled signs are strategically placed and are not disrupting scenery all over town. Here’s an informed lady who “walks the talk”! For Edmonds City Council, vote for Joan Bloom!
