If there were good reasons for setting the clock ahead one hour, they are long forgotten. Now the only reason is to enjoy more sunlight after you get off work. Just go to work an hour earlier. No need to change our clocks. Problem solved.
There are no “savings.” There are only 24 hours in a day. High Noon, 12 p.m., is when the sun reaches its zenith in the daylight hours, or at least it should be!
