It’s a sad day in America when a candidate, in this case D.J. Wilson for 21st District Representative, would consider it an honor to be endorsed by National Abortion Rights Action League and the National Organization for Women, two extreme leftwing organizations. One believes in abortion for “any” reason, including the most heinous partial birth abortion of a child. NOW, on the other hand, has a division that has set up a defense fund for Andrea Yates, the mother who mercilessly drowned her five children. What next, be sanctioned by the Hemlock Society?
It’s unbelievable that you can run for office and be more closely aligned with the right to die than the right to life and regard it as admirable. This, and the fact that this issue is federal with absolutely no bearing in a local, state representative’s campaign, as they cannot have any influence on the national scene, seems ludicrous at best.
We have issues here on the home front that candidates need to address, such as traffic, taxes, education, etc., where we can have an impact. Surely the people of the 21st District and the state of Washington deserve better.
