Regarding the June 30 editorial, “Court affirms rule of law stands, even during war”: Citizens who leave this country and fight against us in a foreign land should no longer be regarded as American citizens but as traitors.
I believe that all enemy prisoners should be treated according to the Geneva Convention, but to allow them to have the same rights as American citizens is outrageous. They should not be allowed lawyers and a civil trial. This is war, not common criminal activity.
I agree that if our government believes someone is involved in terrorist activity then the government should show proof. These terrorists should not be allowed to use our laws against us. We should be more concerned about our survival and security than image.
