Last week there was an interesting juxtaposition of two articles on the front page. One proclaimed the news that the City of Everett had been named an All-American City. Right next to that article was one detailing how Lynnwood police had enforced the city noise ordinance, citing a driver for having his car stereo turned up way too loud.
While I am happy and proud that Everett has been named an All-American City, I would gladly trade that designation for enforcement of Everett’s noise ordinance against those obnoxious loud car stereos. I think that would make a greater difference in quality of life for most Everett residents.
